Chosing between Old and New – guidance for year

2004, being a (6) year takes us firmly into the realm of my most favourite place, namely, the North, that is, the BATTLEFIELD, the place of ACTION and of MATERIALISATION! 🙂 Many will argue in terms of, “But we are always on the battlefield, so what makes THIS year any different?” True! The warrior IS always meeting one challenge after another, every day of his or her life, but it is not always that we have the opportunity of being able to do so with the SUPPORT that comes from the VIBRATION of a (6) year!

Hope in Forebearance

This brings us to a concept which Toltecs refer to as forebearance. The meaning which Toltecs attach to this word is very different to average man’s normal understanding for, by forebearance, Toltecs are not inferring that the warrior should become a doormat. On the contrary, forebearance requires a considerable amount of true patience and strength, and nothing builds intent more quickly or efficiently than exercising forebearance. This reveals the definition Toltecs give to this word, namely, forebearance is an act of strength in which the warrior harnesses patience until it has become like a finely strung bow which is lightness itself, but possessing an inherent tension which is deadly.

Taking care as a reference to accepting the process of life

As a warrior I am ALWAYS willing to be open. Why? Simply because I want to LEARN; I want to gain more personal power. If I am only ever wanting to prove to everyone around me that my knowledge is superior to theirs I will learn nothing new about MYSELF!!! Therefore I LISTEN to the other person with every fibre of my being AND I look at that person in terms of being a MIRROR for me. I can afford to do this and not feel inadequate, or attacked, or defensive, or uncertain, BECAUSE I have enough BELIEF in myself and my knowledge not to be brought off-balance by what the other person is pointing out or saying to me. By doing this I not only listen to the face value of what the other person is trying to say, but I try with everything I’ve got to grasp what lies BEYOND the face value of the words. In this way I can and do hear CLEARLY.
